Popularly known as Rayavaram Munsiff

is one of the old guards

of the congress and is well known to one and all in the state of

Andhra Pradesh. The services rendered to the public by

sri VSMVundavilli Satyanarayana Murthy in the capacity of M.L.C, APCC treasurer, AICC

member, Chairman of East Godavari Zilla Parishad,

President of Ramachandrapuram co-operative central bank

and last but not least as Founder, President and Correspondent
of VSM College - Ramachandrapuram ,East Godavari Dt. ( ap )

are exemplary and noteworthy.

నేనెరిగిన శ్రీ రాయవరం మునసబుగారు

ప్రజలలో పెరిగి, ప్రజల నడుమ తిరిగి, ప్రజల మనస్సున కెక్కి పదస్థులయిన దేశనాయకులలో రాయవరం మునసబుగారొకరు. ఉత్తమ నాయక లక్షణ లక్షితులయినవారు మాత్రమే స్వీకరించగల బహుతర ప్రయాస గమ్యమైన మార్గమది. రామచంద్రపురం కళాశాలకు పునర్నామకరణం జరిగేదాకా వారి అసలు పేరు నాకు తెలియదు. పేరులో ఏముంది? వట్టి గొప్పలు చెప్పుకోకుండా ‘పూనియేదయినాను ఒక మేలు’ చేసి చూపిన సేవానిష్ఠులే మనకు మాన్యులు; వారే మహనీయులు.

ప్రజా రంగంలో పనిచేసే యే వ్యక్తికయినా ధైర్యస్థైర్యాలు అత్యావశ్యక గుణాలు. ‘స్థైర్యం స్వధర్మాద చలనమ్ - ధైర్యమింద్రియ నిగ్రహః’ తాను నమ్మిన ధర్మపధం నుంచి వైదొలగకుండా ఉండటం స్థైర్యం; ఇంద్రియ చాపల్యానికి లొంగకుండా ఉండటం ధైర్యం అని వ్యాస వచనం. ఈ ధైర్య స్థైర్యాలు మునసబు గారికి సహజ కవచాల వంటివి. ధృతవ్రతమే ఆయనకు దృఢవ్రతం. మిన్ను విరిగి మీదపడ్డా చలించని మేరు ధీరులు ఆయన.

చదువులు సంస్కారానికీ, పదవులు పరోపకారానికీ భూమికలని మనసార నమ్మి, నోరార చెప్పి, చేయార చేసి చూపిన విచక్షుణులు మునసబుగారు. మనసులో ఒకటీ, మాటలో మరొకటీ ఆయనకు అలవాటులేని విద్యలు. అందువల్లనే పదవీప్రలోభాలకీ, ప్రజారంగ ప్రలాభాలకీ అతీతులుగాను, అధికార దాహాలకీ, అవకాశవాద వ్యామోహాలకీ అనాసక్తులుగానూ ఉంటూ వచ్చిన వీరి అసాధారణ వ్యక్తిత్వం అజేయం,జగజ్జేయం. ఆయన అచ్చంగా కార్యశూరులేగాని, వాచా శూరులుగారు. మిధ్యావాదాలు, రధ్యా ప్రసంగాలు, వృధా చర్చలు ససేమిరా ఆయనకి నచ్చవు. ఆయన నూటికి నూరుపాళ్ళూ కార్యవాది.

అనేక రాజకీయ యుద్ధాలలో ఆరితేరిన వృద్ధమూర్తులయినప్పటికీ, మునసబుగారు అంతర్ముఘులు. ఆశ్రితజనరక్షా దీక్షాదక్షులయినప్పటికీ గుణపక్షపాతులు.

రాజకీయ స్వాతంత్ర్యం సంపూర్ణస్వాతంత్ర్యసౌధానికి ఒక సోపానం మాత్రమే అని మునసబుగారి విశ్వాసం. ఆర్ధిక సహకారరంగాలు దేశప్రగతికి వెన్నెముక వంటివనీ, విద్యావ్యవసాయ రంగాలు జాతి సుస్థితికి ఆయువుపట్టులవంటివనీ మునసబుగారు నిర్దేశించుకోవడం ఆయన క్రాంతదర్శిత్వానికీ, క్రాంతిదృక్పధానికీ సూచికలు. అందుచేత ఈ రంగాలపై తమ దృష్టిని కేంద్రీకరించి, అసహాయ శూరులుగా, ఏకాంగి వీరులుగా పరిశ్రమించారు. రామచంద్రపురం కోపరేటివ్ సెంట్రల్ బ్యాంక్ , రామచంద్రపురం కళాశాల, తుల్యభాగాలిఫ్ట్ యిరిగేషన్ పధకం, వీరి విశిష్టదృష్టికీ,వివేక పరిపాకానికీ చక్కటి నిదర్శనాలు.

లక్ష్యసంసిద్ధికి సాధన సామాగ్రి సంశుద్ధీ, కార్యనిర్వహణ దృఢబుద్ధీ అత్యవసరాలని గుర్తించినందువల్లనే మునసబుగారు చేపట్టిన అన్ని రంగాలు మూడుపువ్వులూ, ఆరుకాయలుగా వర్ధిల్లుతున్నాయి.

పదవుల నలంకరించి పెద్దలవుతారు కొందరు, పెద్దవారిని

ఆశ్రయించి పేరులో కొస్తారు కొందరు, చెక్కభజనలు చేసి చవకబారు

పేరు తెచ్చుకొంటారు మరికొందరు, ప్రజా నాయకులుగా ప్రజలను

దిగ మ్రింగుతారు ఎందరో....

సామాన్య ప్రజల శ్రేయస్సే తమ శ్రేయస్సుగా భావించి, అహోరాత్రులు

వారికై శ్రమచేసి, ప్రజల్లో శాశ్వత ముద్ర వేసుకుంటారు కొద్దిమంది ..

తమిళుల కామరాజు, ఆంధ్రుల ప్రకాశం పంతులు, ఆచార్య రంగా వంటివారు ...

ఇట్టివారు చాల అరుదుగా వుంటారు.

వీరి శ్రేణిలో చేర్చవలసిన వ్యక్తి , ప్రజల మనిషిగా గుర్తింపబడిన వ్యక్తి మన

సత్యమూర్తి.

డిగ్రీలు లేవు..పెద్ద పదవులు అసలే లేవు..జమీలు లేవు..

మరి ఏమిటి? ఈ "మూర్తి "లో ఇంతటి దివ్య శక్తి ఏవిధంగా చోటు చేసుకుంది?

పేద ప్రజల దీన హృదయాలు ఈమధ్యకాలంలో ప్రభుత్వమూ, మన నాయకులూ

గుర్తించి వారి శ్రేయస్సుకై పాటుపడటం మనం చూస్తున్నాం..

ఈ విషయం మన సత్యమూర్తి తన చిన్న వయస్సు లోనే గుర్తించి,

వారి శ్రేయస్సుకై పాటు పడటం ఒక్క కారణంగా భావించవచ్చు .

ఈ మధ్యకాలంలో తయారయిన నాయకుల్లాగా కాకుండా,

గాంధీజీ ప్రభావంతో స్వాతంత్ర్య సంగ్రామంలో పాల్గొని, క్రమశిక్షణ

చిన్నవయస్సు లోనె అలవచ్చుకున్న" మూర్తి "అవడం మరొక

కారణం...

డిగ్రీలు లేకున్నా, అనుభవంలో కష్టసుఖాల నెదుర్కోటంలో,

అనుకొన్నది సాధించటంలో పట్టుదల, దీక్ష కలిగి నీతినిజాయిగా

వ్యవహరించడం వలన, వ్యక్తికి కావలసిన సంస్కారం అలవర్చుకోవడం

వలన ..చాల మంది విద్యాధికుల్లో కానరాని "మంచి మూర్తిని "మనం

ఈ సత్యమూర్తిలో చూడగలగడం మరొక కారణం .....

జమీలు లేవు..పుట్ల కొద్దీ ధనం లేదు.. ఈ ప్రాంతపు రాజకేయాల్లో

ముందు నిలబడేది డబ్బే....అందరు జమిందారులూ ఈయనకు ఎదురే..

మరి ఎలా ఎదుర్కొన్నారు?

ప్రజల మనిషికి ధన బలం అక్కర లేదని నిరూపించారు మన సత్య మూర్తి..

ఏ వైనా శాశ్వతంగా నిలిచే పనులు చేసారా?

ఎన్నో చేసారు...

ప్రాధమిక విద్యావ్యాప్తికై కృషి చేశారు..స్వగ్రామంలో తన డబ్బు తో

ఉన్నత పాఠశాల స్థాపించారు...

తదుపరి ఉన్నత విద్యావికాసానికి పాటు పడ్డారు...

చివరకు గొదావరి జిల్లాలో ఏ ప్రయివేటు అనుబంధ కళాశాలలో లేని

ఎమ్.ఎ క్లాసుని కూడ ప్రప్రధమంగా తన కళాశాల లో ఏర్పాటు

చేశారు..

డిగ్రీలు లేని వ్యక్తి , ఉన్నతాధికారుల్లో, ఉన్నత విద్యావంతుల్లో ఎంత

గౌరవం ,ఎంత ప్రేమాభిమానాలను సంపాదించారంటే..

సత్యమూర్తి తలుస్తే..సత్యమూర్తి కోరితే..ఆపని కార్యరూపం లోకి

వెనువెంటనే రావడం దానికి నిదర్శనం..

ఎందరో కళాశాలలు స్థాపించారు..పంతుళ్ళపై కర్ర పెత్తనం

చలాయించారు..కళాశాల అభివృధ్ది, అధ్యాపకుల శ్రేయస్సుకై

పాటుపడిన వ్యక్తులు చాల తక్కువ మందిని మనం చూస్తాము.

కాని ఈయనో ......

ఒక ఉత్తమ సంస్కారవంతుడు, విద్యాధికుడైన

డాక్టర్ గరిగిపాటి రుద్రయ్య చౌదరి పై ఈ కార్యభారం మోపి,

తన పర్యవేక్షణలో తీర్చిదిద్దుతూ, దాక్షారామ

దేవాలయం తర్వాత ఈప్రాంతంలో ప్రతివారూ దర్శింప దగిన ఒక పవిత్ర

ప్రాంగణంగా, ఒక అందమైన ప్రదేశంగా తీర్చిదిద్ది, కళా,సాహిత్య , క్రీడా

రంగాలకు నిలయంగా, ఒక ప్రత్యేకతను

సాధించేటట్లుగా ఈ విద్యాసంస్థనుతీర్చిదిద్దడం జరిగింది.

దరిదాపు పదేళ్ళుగా ఈయన కళాశాలలో పనిచేసే అధ్యాపకులను

కూడా ఆయన ఎరుగరు..వ్యక్తులుగా ఆయనకు పరిచయం లేదు..

తన వద్ద పనిచేసే వాళ్ళ స్తోత్రపాఠాలు ఎరుగరు...

ఏమిటీ ఈ అమాయకుడు?

నిజమే..తమ కళాశాల అధ్యాపకులందరి శ్రేయస్సే ఆయన ఆశించేది..

అంతే గాని వ్యక్తులది కాదు..

ఇచట అధ్యాపకులకు ..సత్యమూర్తికి గల సంబంధం, మరి ఏ

ఇతర కళాశాలలో కూడా చూడడం జరగదంటే అది అతిశయోక్తి

ఏమాత్రం కాదు.

నూలు మిల్లు స్థాపించాడు.. చేనేత రంగానికి సేవ చేసాడు..

సహకార రంగంలో ఎంతొ శ్రమ చేశాడు..

బలహీన వర్గాలకై పాటు పడ్డాడు..

హరిజన గిరిజన ఉద్దరణకై అహర్నిశలు శ్రమపడ్డాడు..

ఏజన్సీలో సత్యమూర్తి పేరు తెలియని పులిపిల్ల కూడా ఉండదేమో?

రైతులకు, రైతుకూలీలకు అండగానున్నాడు..

ఇన్ని సంపదలున్న మనిషికి ........

ధన సంపద ఎందుకు?

డిగ్రీ చదువులెందుకు?

పదవులెందుకు?

రాణించడానికి...కీర్తించబడటానికి...చిరకాలం గుర్తింపబడటానికి...

సత్యమూర్తి లో ఒక కామరాజును చూడ వచ్చు...

ఒక ప్రకాశంపంతుల్ని దర్శింపవచ్చు...

on the eve of the Silver Jubilee of
1983-86 batch
of alumni

I am delighted to be invited to the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of 1983-86 batch of students of V.S.M.College,to be held on 29-5-2011, in the precincts of your alma mater. I turned nostalgic, for a few moments on hearing this, recalling my blissful association with your batch of students. Those were the days when the college reputation soared to its zenith in the state with its well-behaved - industrious-eager to learn alumni ever ready to imbibe the wisdom and scholarly teachings of their erudite staff .
I am all for sharing the blissful moments of this rare ocasion with you by my presence in your in your midst but for my ripe years which restrict my journey at short notice. It gives me strange and exciting feelings when I attempt to visualise in the eye of my mind how the teenagers of yesteryears have now fully evolved and settled in different professions in different places coming together and celebrating this grand event. Oh1 The very idea thrills me into inexpressible joy. Really it is a wonderful get-together sharing the emotions and experiences after a gap of two and half decades.
I wish I were with you to witness and share these ones-in-a-lifetime
experience.But my heart goes with you and my blessings to one and all.

Dear friends,
Old student's get together with your teachers is an excellent idea.
It is worth doing at least once in a lifetime.
we must thank and congratulate Mrs. Padma Mani and all of you
for having taken pains to make it a grand success, in our college premises.
you are doing it two and half decades after you left the college.
We meet, eat and enjoy ourselves recollecting sweet nothings.
We journey into the past, while enjoying the present
dreaming of yet more delightful future.
Nowadays as we gothrough the newspapers,
we are coming across events wherin human relations are totally broken.
There are no family ties.
We are reading of most horrible, terrible anecdotes.
What makes them behave so inhuman and merciless
is selfishness and lack of consideration for others
and of basic human values.
However, my personal feeling is, of all human relations,
friendship of classmates and respect and concern for teachers
is pure, selfless, intimate, noble and affectionate.
They are safely far and dearly near at heart.
So the tie is never broken, rather permanent.
Wherever we are, whatever we maybe,
we are always friends wishing each other's welfare
and happiness. So this function recharges our bond,
love and friendship.
As a teacher, on behalf of all the teachers, i have an
open confession here.
We feel friendly and intimate with the students
as long as we teach you.
In course of time we remember afew
and forget many as we lose contact with you.
Occasionally when we meet,
we may not be able to recognise you immediately.
